For Youth, Schools & Parents

For Youth

KELY works with young people from a variety of backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, orientation and abilities.  We believe that young people play a crucial role in deciding what kind of projects we should adopt, and how these projects should be run.

KELY doesn’t tell young people what to do. Instead, we provide them with a positive environment where they can make informed choices that will reduce harm to themselves and to those around them.

If you are a young person, KELY will work with you to help you make informed decisions, hone your skills, expand your vision, and build your own peer support network.

For Schools

Since the beginning, KELY has been collaborating closely with both local and international schools in Hong Kong towards the development of our young people. Our relationship with schools offers us insight into young people’s lives and enables us to respond appropriately to their issues. KELY Support Group offers a drug awareness talk for teachers, as well as ad-hoc curriculum consultation for teachers who are looking to implement their own health education and substance abuse awareness programmes in their schools.

We understand that each school has different goals for their students, and we are always looking to build our programmes into our partnership schools in order to ensure that the students’ needs are fully met.

We view our relationship with the schools as the key to our success! Please write to us if you would like to cooperate with KELY, or if there is any way that we can assist you in your work!

For Parents

KELY believes that the views of parents matter! Your involvement and support is crucial to our work with Hong Kong youths – be it in creating a drug-free environment at home, or providing encouragement for young people who suffer from low self-esteem. That’s why we have provided a set of drug resources and tools to help you talk to your child about such tough issues. We believe an open dialogue between you and your child will go a long way towards helping them reach their fullest potential.  And remember: we are always here to help.
