Seeing the Possibilities 3

A programme which matches 36 students with 12 mentors from the community to help them (students) develop life goals through fashion arts training and the organising of a fashion show / exhibition. The focus of the programme is less on the finale but more on building youth capacity in the areas of: goal-setting, pre-employment development, programme planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, digital media, fashion and events planning training.

The programme asks also the students to attend a series of life-skills training workshops and take part in sessions targeted at enhancing their capacities to become leaders within the larger ethnic minority community.

Programme Objectives:

Seeing the Possibilities 3 aims to develop greater self-confidence and self-esteem amongst ethnic minority youth as well as to assist ethnic minority youth to develop means to access more opportunities for self-development. Another objective this programme includes enabling ethnic minority youth to set and achieve life goals through working with mentors, obtaining important life skills, as well as working across diverse individuals.

Target Groups:

Form 3 to 4 ethnic minority youth from various ethnic minority designated and non-ethnic minority designated schools.
