The Circus Mania! Programme
The ethnic minority population is a little over 5% in Hong Kong. From this, about 9,000 ethnic minority students are studying in the primary and secondary schools. Many of these students face socio-economic challenges, barriers and stigma to integration. To address these issues, and to bring ethnic minority and local Chinese students closer together, KELY is proud to launch Circus Mania! - a 9 month programme aimed at helping ethnic minority students enhance their self-confidence and self-esteem as well as cultivate team spirit. Local Chinese students from last years’ programme will assist as leaders and trainers, and learn in tandem with their ethnic minority counterparts in organizing a massive community service project in June 2010. Many schools have already signed up to this programme, so don’t miss out and register now!
