KELY is Hiring: Communications and Development Manager

Founded in 1991, the KELY Support Group (KELY) is a non-profit, bilingual organization with a mission to empower young people through non-judgmental PEER SUPPORT to make informed choices in reaching their potential.

We are currently seeking to recruit an energetic, creative, and dynamic Communications and Development Manager to provide strategic fundraising, branding and communication protocol development for the organization. The successful candidate should possess the following criteria:

Qualifications:

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in developing successful fundraising campaigns and marketing strategies.
  • Higher diploma or above in sales and marketing, business or relevant disciplines (knowledge of the social service sector in Hong Kong is an asset).

Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic fundraising, branding and communication development.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with the media and carrying out public relations.
  • Ability to write innovative proposals, develop budgets and liaise with corporate funders.
  • Strong critical analysis, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage different priorities and multiple activities running in parallel.
  • Can practice cost efficiency and cost effectiveness while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in developing electronic newsletters and updating websites.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Cantonese and English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong knowledge and commitment to working with youth from diverse backgrounds, including: race, ethnic, socio-economic status, orientation and abilities.

The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience with the fundraising scene in Hong Kong, have an existing network of donors and supporters, is able to perform networking duties, as well as have the ability to reach new donors. He / she should also have proven experience in maintaining positive donor relations, and can work effectively with a team of diverse staff, volunteers and stakeholders.
