KELY Support Group is recruiting!
 We’re looking for a qualified and experienced counsellor to help us deliver group therapy sessions in schools.

KELY is a non-government funded bilingual organisation which provides support to young people in Hong Kong. We deliver programmes and services in schools and other settings that support young people to reach their potential.

Growing Up with KELY (GUWK) is a well established therapy programme delivered in English. The role requires work in two different Secondary Schools during term time (September to June). It uses a CBT and positive psychology approach.

Responsibilities will include:
• Leading group therapy sessions in two schools during term time 
• Non-clinical support to a trainee to co-deliver the group therapy sessions 
• Preparing for group therapy sessions and debriefing with trainee after group therapy sessions 
• Providing non-clinical support to trainees delivering individual counselling in one of the Secondary Schools. 

Applicants should have: 
• 5 or more years counselling experience including leading group therapy 
• Qualified with an MA in Counselling, or equivalent 
• Excellent communication skills in English 
• An understanding of issues and challenges faced by young people in Hong Kong 
• Experience that includes a focus on young people would be an advantage 

Start date: As soon as possible, latest September 18th. The position requires a total of 22 hours group therapy, 44 hours of preparation & debrief plus about 40 hours of other meetings with KELY and the trainees, delivered between September and June. These hours will take place during term time and may vary from week to week. A typical week would require between 5 to 7 hours work.
